Wooo, it's out! I've already played it somewhat, and the mod is great. Tried addbotsbut didn't work. Other than that, the mod is fun, looking forward to playing with humans against the zombie menace. Make sure you don't have 'no bots' enabled in server options. It should be right next to the 3rd person allowed option. Just wanted to lend some support, as I think this mod deserves. It was just flaming, and the most constructive advice that could be gained from it was: "Remake this mod from scratch", which doesn't do anyone any good.
So wait, no HUD? So how do you know if you're going to die? You just either run away from everything all the time, or just shut your eyes, shamble slowly at zombies with favourite weapon and hope you've got more than 1 hitpoint?
How does that work? I guess I'll have to try the mod, but that doesn't sound fun to me. Sounds less like strategy and more like just cross fingers and hope. Or maybe I'm missing something? By that reasoning, you therefor have no right to ever critisize a commercial game since to "real" developers, you're just a user tooand if dethtoll were indeed a modder, you would take his comments seriously.
Maybe you'd prefer some little closed community where the only people allowed to participate are people who make mods. I'm sure you'll enjoy getting loads of feedback from your 5-man user base.
At least it'll be positive feedback though. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with any of the comments with regards to KF, or those made by dethtoll, but TKAzA, you are hardly doing anything for the "image" of modders, download killing floor warzone mod. OK, me and my buddies played this a bunch at our LAN this weekend, and in conclusion its awesome just like the last version. Pretty much our main issues is that more stuff would be nice, more maps, download killing floor warzone mod, more guns, but every mod can use that.
And also, I'd like the gameplay changed so that you keep playing harder and harder rounds till you all die, instead of 10 round limit. The game really gets fun at the higher rounds when the fleshpounds start to pour into the rooms, download killing floor warzone mod, forcing the team to retreat and fight with their backs to the wall.
And it'd be nice to be able to manually scale how many zombies there is each wave, fighting huge swarms of weak zombies is a lot of fun, especially when ammo starts to run scarce and the team start to run out of room to retreat. So good work, I didn't bother to read all the pointless drama that apparently has been happening, but keep up the good work anyway, looking forward to the next version.
